Living Room Rug & Dining Room Rug
Introducing the Curl Curl residence, situated on Sydney’s northern beaches, this house draws inspiration from the natural tones and neutral hues of the coastal environment. Korda Design was commissioned to design these rugs in collaboration with Cradle Design, creating pieces that would harmoniously integrate with the existing furnishings, whilst adding a designer flair to the room.
The 4m x 5m rug created for the living room is hand-tufted with New Zealand wool and cotton viscose in cut-pile, which adds a lustrous sheen while maintaining durability. This rug was designed to emulate a deconstructed Persian rug with a distressed effect. The muted blue and brown tones maintain the coastal themes, as well as adding an additional element of modern design, tying together the furnishings of the room.
The 2.5m x 3m rug that Korda Design created for the dining room is made from hand-tufted New Zealand wool and cotton viscose in both cut and loop piles, which adds dimension in height and texture. An understated striped design using neutral tones, this rug provides a subtle companion to the existing dining furnishings.
