The Korda business commenced in 1952 when brothers Eric and Leslie Korda established their warehouse in Sydney's
North Shore to supply requisites for people engaged in the flooring trade. The brothers were proud of their business
and searched worldwide to bring the latest products and ideas to the Australian market. The business soon grew to
a national operation and in about 1970 the business added the exclusive distributorship of Tai Ping carpets in
Australia and New Zealand. During the following 40 years Korda developed a strong reputation as the supplier of
the highest quality custom made carpets and rugs.
Now the next generation of the Korda family are making their mark by widening the scope of the business so
that we can work with our clients - professional architects and designers - howsoever they want to work with us.

We have been intent on building the capability of Korda to offer knowledge and expertise about carpets and rugs
as well as a design service and the ability to procure production solutions from a variety of superior carpet
manufacturers. Clients can select to avail themselves of all or part of our capability as suits their needs.
Our aim at Korda is to assist our clients to obtain the best solution that befits their project's need
for quality and appearance within their budget. Our team includes experienced and qualified design staff and
sales consultants who are experienced in working through the options with clients to arrive at the right solution.
